"Flippy" has been a musician since 1986 when he started playing tuba. Since then he has learned many instruments including Ukulele, bassoon, and bagpipes. "I think of myself as musical machine, not an artist. Music is not a way to express deep feelings inside me but math and formulas." Flippy is one of the founding members of Liberty's Teeth and has watched the band go though lots of changes over the years. "The first two years Liberty's Teeth had three names and fourteen drummers. The kilt and bagpipes did not come in until the 3rd year. The addition of dedicated and stable members help get LT off the ground. Liberty's Teeth owes it's success to members past and present. (Thanks Adam, Tony, and Wally)"
"Flippy" attended Millikin University for Music Education but did not complete his degree due to the challenges of learning all the instruments and "other things"...
"I took a lot away from Millikin and I am a better musician for going there." Marc is currently working on a teaching degree in secondary history / social studies.
